Navigation Screen

The navigation module gathers data from the ship’s navigation systems and reports on depth, wind speeds, water temperature and GPS satellite signals. The NEMA data is presented to the SiMON computer via the serial port. The actual data being presented depends on the navigation instruments on the vessel.

The depth screen shows the current depth, the minimum and maximum depths recorded for the passage to this point, and depth plotted over time. Minimum and maximum recorded values are displayed with the date, time, latitude and longitude at which the data was recorded.
