SiMON²  the first alarm monitoring system for the new Apple iPad is very proud and honored to be awarded the "Most Innovative Product" at the DAME award at METS in 2010 along with a "Special Mention" in the Marine Software Category.  This follows on the heels of the iSIMON winning the DAME for 'Software Innovation" in 2009. SiMON² was designed to work exclusively on the iPad, and provides a fresh new look to the SiMON family of alarm monitoring systems.

SiMON²  has been developed specifically for the smaller production yacht market,  and provides much of the functionality of the larger SiMON, but with a brand new user interface. SiMON² now takes much of Palladiums development experience with the Apple iPhone and iPod/Touch to a much higher level.  Navigation between screens is based upon the new icon driven dashboard, which uses the swipe, multi-touch technology of the Apple iPad.  This version also includes the integration of cameras and lighting control within the SiMON² alarm monitoring system. Adding to this SiMON² has the ability to transmit all alarms while they are occurring over the internet allowing for the shipyards to retrieve critical information for warranty and user research data. This technology also allows alarm notification available via cell phone and/or email to the yacht owners as well.

SiMON², as designed for the iPad uses the WiFi technology to communicate with the newly designed SiMON² controllers.  These controllers interface to the ships critical equipment, such as engines, generators, bilge, tanks, batteries, AC electric, doors, etc.   One or many iPad’s running SiMON² can operate concurrently on each yacht, providing ultimate flexibility.
